Cabins and yurts with countryside soul. Welcome to Dorset’s dreamiest rural escape.
This is a countryside escape with a difference
This isn’t glamping
Set among ancient orchards and wildflower meadows in West Dorset, The Rove offers handcrafted spaces with everything you need to truly switch off.
Here, we celebrate the joy of being wild and free. Kick off your shoes and soak up nature in all its glory: days spent exploring winding paths, evenings around the fire, and moments that feel raw, real and wonderfully yours.
It’s nature on your terms — a place to let loose, laugh louder and wake up wild.

Yes, we’re open in every season. All spaces are fully insulated with heating and log burners, so you’ll be warm and cosy whatever the weather. Winter stays are some of our favourites.
-
Absolutely. Many of our stays have separate twin bedrooms, and we can add extra beds on request , so up to six guests can sleep comfortably. High chairs and travel cots are available too. Just let us know what you need and we’ll get everything set up.
-
Yes, up to two dogs are welcome per space. Some of our stays are especially dog-friendly, with plenty of room to roam. Just let us know when you book so we can make sure everything’s ready for your four-legged guests.
-
We’ve tried to think of everything, from fresh linen and towels to kitchen essentials and firewood. That said, bring whatever helps you feel most at home, and don’t forget swimwear if you’re planning a dip in the lake.
-
There’s Wi-Fi in the barn and around the Cherry Orchard, but not in the accommodation itself. That way, you can properly switch off, but still check in if you need to.
-
Our lakeside hot tub is available to book for lunchtime (12–2pm) or evening (from 7pm) sessions. We fill it fresh and clean for every booking — no chemicals, just fire-heated water and a view of the lake.
It’s £55 if we heat it for you, or £35 if you'd like to do it yourself. It’s first come, first served, so drop us a note if you'd like to book a slot.

In the summer months, we host wood-fired pizza nights on Wednesdays and Fridays from around 6.30pm. There’s a mix of toppings to choose from, and we always cater for dietary needs.
It’s £15 for adults and £7.50 for children, just let us know in advance if you’d like to join in.
Sign up & soak it up.
Join our bi-weekly mailing list and we’ll treat you to a free hot tub session when you book your next stay. Blissfully easy.
